Like many trainers, I was put on the path of training by a beloved pet. When my husband and I adopted Auggie, we quickly realized that he had some challenging behavior issues that we were ill-equipped to handle. I began researching dog behavior, including the science behind positive reinforcement (R+) training methodologies. Through a process of trial and evaluation, I found a trainer who embodied the skills and values of this type of training. 

I learned a powerful way to interact and communicate with Auggie and it resonated with my years of learning design, during which I was focused on delivery of educational content for kids. I’ve always been fascinated by how people learn, how to make learning fun, and how to follow the learner. Experiencing the transformative power of R+ training with Auggie inspired me to become a certified professional behavior consultant and dog trainer.  

It’s thrilling to combine my passion for teaching with my love of animals. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help caregivers and their dogs deepen their relationship and work as a team to create a happy life together!
